1963 austin project

Hi guys I have been restoring my 1963 Austin mini I am I to minds wether to. Ulter the paint scheame a bit its originaly tartan red would it affect the value of the car I intend on using it daily I will probably make the 850 engine a bit nippier with cam carbs and exhaust will post pic of my progress any advice is appreciated

Also what is the best way to protect the inside of welded pannels

I doubt altering the colour of your car will impact on it's value if you stick to period Mk1 factory colours (other than maroon !) and if it's a daily driver I'd just wax the box sections, rear subframe and any of the spots where mud usually collects.

Do you know were I can get info of the paint schems used I intend on using the old red interia what colours would go well with that

Have a look at all the projects with plenty of pics on here and Google images will find loads too, its your car so you can paint it any colour you like!
Don't even worry about its value, you'll be spending doing it up far more than it will ever be worth.
