Just checking, it’s 5/8-16 UNS ?
Tried mole grips, tried blowtorch, tried freezer spray, tried slotting and impact wrench, tried cold chisel
Succeeded only in making it shorter and shorter, so time to drill and re-tap I think.
This one?

If you need a new one I still have a whole pack of them still in the original Leyland packet.

I usually weld a nut to them.
The heat from welding frees them from the rust and the nut gives you something to turn.
Yes, 5/8" x 16 TPI - Same as the Crankshaft.

Thanks for the confirmation. I’ll try drilling and re-tapping the threads, see how it goes. Amazon delivery is slow at the moment, but no rush I guess as nobody has any place else to be...
Dermott, I have a parts order in with MiniSpares currently, and a replacement tube is already on that list. But if that doesn’t work out I might take you up on the NOS offer, thanks.

I tapped mine in at the side until it collapsed into itself .. there wasn't anything left to weld anything too!
Then a chanced upon what might have been the last proper blanking plug in the UK and fitted that (I'm removing the bypass).

Photos after fitting the new spigot. The hole re-tapped without a problem, but I used some thread sealant for good measure.
