Hi all,
I have just repainted the floor on the mini and I was going to use a wax sa50 to try and add some extra protection. Is it advisable to leave the paint for a period of time before applying the oil/wax?
Thanks
Graham

I have heard that yes it is better to leave paint to harden - I guess the dry/heat/damp conditions would depend on how long a lapse of time....

I’m not convinced wax will benefit a freshly painted floor, just picks up crap. Box sections, seems, nooks and crannies definitely but I’ve never bothered with a decent underfloor.
I bought a 1275 GT recently that had been Ziebarted all over the engine bay from new!

I was going to give it a go, I tried last time without and it lasted about 10 years with light use on the road and track, with no winter use.
Maybe it will help and maybe not, I’m willing to give it a go as the ingress seemed from very very small chips and the seams. I guess the cage doesn’t help
