Hi all I'm starting to restore my 1959 mini. I was planning to replace inner and outer a pannels probably both wings re skin the doors and the sills. What would be the best way in attacking this I was thinking of taking the wings and a pannels of and taxking the a pannels in first then the wings and then check the door shuts and bonnet gap will probable leave the bonnet in place and not destirb it I will upload photos to show my progress hope you guys can give me some of your technical know how thanks from mark

I dont think you have a '59, there was only an outer A panel up to '60. Post up some pics of the floor too.

Your right only one a pannel I have got the engine out ready to start finding the rust

If you are doing the door skins, do them first. Its easier fotting new A panels to fit the door than trying to fit the doorskins to the new shape hole.
In general its a case of taking it a step at a time is better than pulling everything off & starting from scratch.

as above. doo the door skins first.......
then make things mould around that..
still not happy with my doors.........

I have both sills todo both a pannels probably both wings both doors passenger floor pan . Just started on the os boot corner have orders all the pannels I think I'm gunna send the doors away I have heard horror stories with mk1 doors. Its about 250 a door :S. So far still under the prodicted price but will probably go over
