2 years ago i fitted new fuel pipe what is described as 1/4 inch bore fuel pipe suitable for unleaded Fuel ..this detail is printed on the outside of this Black Fuel Pipe... my issue is now this carb supply fuel pipe is now rock hard and cannot be fit to be used again.. so I look out my remaining & unused pipe from the same batch & that remains flexable & suitable to be used. . Therefore i reason my issue is E-Petrol that has caused my flex Fuel Pipe to become very hard in what is a short period of time .. So i look for another Fuel Pipe solution .
Ariete Fuel Pipe Made in Italy comes in various metric sizes.. this product is soft & suitable for E10 Fuel and seems to be used on Motorbikes .. can i ask has anyone experienced this Ariete Fuel Pipe as i think this may be the Fuel Pipe for the Future ?

The spec to look for for E10 compatibility and so on is SAE J30 R9 (most stuff will be R6). Hose in this spec seems to gradually be becoming more widely available - but I've seen some stories of fake unbranded stuff marked R9 from eBay, so I would definitely look for a branded hose from a mainstream supplier. I got some Codan (supposedly a reputable brand) hose from Demon Tweeks, and I think Holden advertise some too. Not cheap, but if it lasts longer than 5 minutes it probably works out in the long run!
As for Ariete - not heard of it before, but had a quick look and it looks like a thin, plastic hose, and couldn't see any mention of SAE spec, so might not be the right thing for car use.

Finchy .. many thanks for the info .. i will order the Codan SAE J30 R9 Fuel Pipe from Demon Tweeks .. i will now use this Codan Pipe throughout the fuel system to connect up the hard fuel lines as i do not wish to replace all my flex; fuel pipes every couple of years because of this e-fuel that we now have to use.

For a while now, the only fuel pipe I use wherever I have a choice is the PTFE lined, steel braided stuff. It's cheaper now than it has ever been as are a wide range of fittings that work with it.
It may be a bit "bling" for some applications, but it works flawlessly every time.
Many purchasing options are available, but here's an example.

Used with metal ferules & crimped it is pretty much indistinguishable from traditional braided pipe.

One word of warning though! Once it is connected up, there is no undoing it! It's a case of cutting it off & starting again.
