Whilst browsing the excellent minitravellerandcountrymanregister.com I noticed something vaguely familiar

form this...

http://www.mk1-performance-conversions. ... k_trav.htm

to this.

Could have been a lot worse I suppose

That's pretty conservative really considering it's in the States, I'm only surprised it's not had a spoiler bonded to the front end, had the roof cut off and painted bright yellow with flames down the side !

I remember when I found that car barely roadworthy, driving it back from North wales with a huge smoke ploom / oil slick behind it all the way, another fine mess I got Mark into !

Window tinting should be a punishable offence. He should be ticketed and be given 7 days to fix the car or face prosecution. I have often wondered what happened to "good taste" in America. It seems to have fled somewhere around 1970ish. What pretty cars they used to make.

Me too..........by the looks of it nothing done that can't be reversed. Reminds me of my own modded Mk1 in the 1970's but with 10" wheels! 8-)

Perhaps he should have bought one of these.......which I also like!
The Countryman Sport (click link below) is built exclusively by M-tech of Somerset England:

Sorry but I really like it. 13 RFX not really my bag either.Easy to criticise but nothing is irreversible (and it is his car.....)
It actually makes me want to ge on with my 62 Van in the same colour
Look forward to seeing the haters at Bulee with my A+ block and magnolia leather recaros in a 1966 Cooper S .....
Might replace the white Roadhog front end before then or fear of getting lynched! :D

Here is one we built for a customer some time ago. It's a multi point injection estate.

It lost its blower & 850 engine for a 1380 A plus unit, he swapped the nos s rims & s disks for the alloys & metro disks & sent me a picture to show me what a brilliant job he had done.

I didn't have the balls to tell him that I felt like puking when I saw it, & just said "very nice".

When I sell a car it becomes the property of the new owner, who am I to pass comment on what someone does to their car.

Not my style...and made worse by knowing what the car looked like before it made its way out of England.
And before too much finger pointing takes place, take a look at the "featured" cars in those two great English magazines each month, Mini World and Mini Magazine.
