OK silly/basic question time - looking at the crank pulley, what is the direction of rotation for a Mini engine - is it clock wise? Sorry but with my car all in bits I can't take a look. Reason for the question is I'm trying to sort out a belt tensioner for my Shorrocks install - should it be on the pulling side of the belt or the return?

looking from the rad side it goes clockwise, as for the tensioner, put it where you can fit it

backwards!
