New engine number plate

Does anyone know where can I get a new engine number plate done as close as possible to the original?
I tried Tim Harber at Minimail, we exchanged a few emails about the price etc, but then he stopped replying. I sent him 5 or 6 emails, PMs through the old forum, messages through this forum, still no reply from him. So, anyone else who does the engine number plates?

Mini Sport will make up a plate, it takes 2-4 weeks, & they require a copy of your log book.

Do you know if it will look like the original with raised letters?

Yes, they are 'reverse stamped' as per the originals.

If Minisport are taking 2 - 4 weeks to do them, I bet you anything that they are sending them to Tim (Minimail).
He's not always the best answerer of e-mails but I strongly suggest you try giving him a ring, I will also give him a nudge & try to get him to drop you a line.

I thought that too (check their prices compared to Tim's).
I guess I will try to give Tim another ring (no one picked up at the first time).
Mark, in the mean time, in case you talk to Tim, tell him that I'm trying to reach him.
Thanks for the help.

I may well be slowly turning into Grumpy Old Man but I really wish people would keep their annecdotal griping to themselves, some nerk is doing exactly the same thing with Somerford on the MCR forum at the moment cos he thinks they're an 'advice line' not a business. As someone who runs a business I just think it's bad fekin manners !
(unless it's Mini Sport of course !

Err
Really sorry to mess more people than normal about
(I wouldn't recommend me to anyone for efficiency- so Mark has put his neck on the block to recommend me as a supplier)
This has been a really hectic 3 weeks, so the business is more behind than usual. I will get all the orders sorted next week.
I say this because we have built my new racer from the shell in 3 weeks.
Ran it in on the rollers yesterday, taking it to Mallory to try it out tomorrow morning. Finish it off on Thursday and practice on Friday, Race on Saturday, dead on Sunday
Apologies

Tim,
Well done and good luck at Mallory, hope all goes well.
I'll see you at Silverstone, Paul Tarry is doing both races so I'm on the pitwall.
Regards,
Mike

Sounds like you have been working hard Tim, that must have come as a shock to the system
Good luck with the new car, post a pic or two when you get a chance.
