Steering wheel splines

Now a good question for the real anorak: What is the -tapered- diameter of the steering wheel boss, and how many splines does it have on a mini? I may have found a seller for a Formula boss, but he's maily a VW man, and can't tell what is a Mini's one and what's not. I don't have any Mini steering wheels available pronto, so here I am..... Help?
