Electric fan temp sensor mounting

So, how do you mount one of these?
If fitting inside a hose, how do one get a tight seal?

Don't bother putting it in your top hose without it. Fit the whole lot using some silicon spray and bob's you uncle.

I had one, no leaks but the controller failed so the engine overheated. Now I'm using a simple fan switch in the thermostat housing instead

I know what you mean, but it works!
You run the copper line in through the groove and then slip your top hose over the top. I fed my sensor a distance so that it sat firmly in the water flow, in the thermostat housing (I run a blanking sleeve).
Failing that, maybe you could get a metro thermostat housing, I'm sure they had a fitting in the top of them and you could cobble something together?
Or use a SPI rad and use the switch option on that to turn the fan on/off?
