Barn find MK 2 Rally car

After more than 30 years of negotiations, I finally managed to buy this old Rally car.
The car was built as a Rally car in 1977 by the brothers Tommy and Ole Borring Møller, at their fathers car repair shop in Faxe Ladeplads, Denmark. The brothers used to drive Cooper S´s as their daily drivers, before switching to Golf GTI Mk1´s. Pictures from yesterday, when i picked up the car.

The brothers stopped using the Rally car in 1983, and it has been parked on the same spot ever since.

Looks to be in great shape,
Who ever used to drive it looks to be on the short side though

What a superb find, complete with period Halda and Magic-tree.

What an absolutely WONDERFUL discovery!!

5 port head, carbs and distributor was stolen many years ago

It was very easy, to get the car rolling, they had removed the brake shoes, and the calipers were removed from the discs and hanging in wires under the car. Very clever

What a find! Looks a great shell, 30 odd years of patina , be a shame to wash it!
