Does anyone have the spot weld arms / electrodes like these ...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealey-120-8 ... SwHQxcoqBu

....that I could borrow for a couple weeks, to weld the wings to front panel on HOY ??

My Sealey SR 10 11 welder takes 15-16mm diameter arms and the arms I have take 10mm diameter electrodes. If they took 12mm electrodes I would buy a pair.

Will return as soon as finished

Thanks in advance :)

Andrew,

Why not just by some round copper bar and bend some up? I know it’s supposed to be a special alloy(can’t remember what) but this has been tried with ordinary stock bar and seems to work fine. Just don’t let them get too hot.

I have a couple of pincer type arms which might do. They are not quite the full pincer type as per the link but they may well fit for your job as they are the inclined pincer type. I'll photo them and send a pic on later and you can see if they would work.

Thanks again for your offers, a forum regular has sent me some arms that should do the job.

What a great little community we have here :D

To save starting a new thread...

For anyone that has spot welded a roof on before, do you have an example of the arms used?

I'm struggling to find any that will fit in the gutter, or could I get away with grinding my current arms down  ?

Many years ago I made a set of tips up particularly for roof seams! I fitted quite a lot of roof
skins and van side panels, had a contract with a local company that had 45 Mini vans and a
high rate of repairs ;)
