just bought a cheap remote boxed 1275 for 'stock'

it had this odd gearbox steady, its well made, the bracket is alloy, with neat alloy tubes etc.

the bracket bolts to the bottom of the end case, the other end of the bar looks to bolt through the rear leg part of the front frame.

not sure how much good it will actually do, but ive never seen one like this before.

Be honest Guru, you only bought it for the QH couplings. :P

nah

i bought it because (despite the scabby outer) its got a fresh set of plus 20's in it, and has never run - the oil is still clean.

it needs stripping and rebuilding, but even as core its worth having a pile of a series 1275s thrown in the garage corner

I've got a g'box steady just like that in the garage somewhere, no idea who made it though.

remote connection looks like the old 1100 type with the side bolt fixings.

It's a Coldwell Engine Steady Bar. Bill told me they sold 100's of them back then.
