Evening all

I want to fit my LP883 4.5 'S' Steel wheels to my 850 but the tyres foul the radius arms. What size spacers do i need to fit to allow the wheels to give the same stance as a standard 'S'? i have been told 3/8. Is this the correct size?

Cheers. Tim.

i used a 3/8 inch spacer, but i couldn't fit 165 tires, or they would rub on the arms.

you'll need longer wheel studs as well. the cooper S ones are too long though.

3/8 with most 145 tyres, 1 inch with 165's.

Why not use Superminifins with S studs all round

because i didn't want to add too much width, i was avoiding using flares.
but that is a simple answer, as long as you add the same amount of "track width" to the front.

Super fins + S wheels gives the same track as an S so will fit under the standard arches (ie no flairs) with 165s (juuust).

This is why the reverse rims were introduced, to prevent the fouling of the arms as the offset of the rim is different.
