Exactly what I asked Sandman!

Graham Russel replied to my question on Ausmini; 3.7 diff ratio, the cars are pulling 8300 / 8500 at the end of the straight!

I'm just relaying info. from posters on Ausmini http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... sc&start=0

Thanks to TspeedJem and others who put up info.

Tyres get pretty hot cornering at those speeds!

Oh and the Tyre is an "American Racer" to pre-empt the next Question! :geek:

The picture from Graham in aus showing a very distressed tyre is indeed an 'American Racer'. We use them here in NZ and I can tell you they are worth 2 seconds a lap!!! Wet grip is outstanding, BUT they wear very rapidly. The problem with the tyre in the picture is that the start pressure was too high. Our importer of the tyre who also races starts his at 18psi. However we found that a bit too low and start ours at 23front and 24rear. At the end of a race on a hot day they will all end up at 30psi which is spot on. Anything more and they just melt. Not sure what they are used on in the USA.

Probably used in the states for flat track quad racing.
