Sadly this event has attracted limited local opposition and also featured on the local BBC news show and Facebook. All credit to the organisers, Chelmsford Motor Club, who are not amateur organisers of motorsport events by any means as they have many, many years of experience organising Motor Sport events. I have been following the comments and cannot wait for "Drive It day on Sunday 22nd April 2018."
The route has in my opinion been carefully planned to limit the disruption to local residents. It is rumoured that the competitors may reach speeds of 140mph; really!
I am not involved in any way but Essex was my rally event patch in the late 1960's early 1970's
There was even a Motoring News Championship event in the area - The Servais Rally.
I wish the organisers well.
