Help-Advice please

One of my Minis is just not running right !!!!

It starts and you can drive it for a while then as you slow down it wants to Stall-i have to feather the acc pedal several times and then she starts to pick up revs again.

A good example is when you pull up at a junction and depress the clutch -the engine just wants to cease tick over. If i am not quick enough to feather the acc pedal it cuts out. It will start again but engine again struggles for a short period then is fine again-for a while.

Any suggestions Please

Ta

In this weather it could be carb icing, especially if you are running a cone type air filter and no pre-heat on your inlet manifold.

As Pete says, it could be lots of things!
Does it do it with your foot on the clutch....heard of one where the crank thrusts had gone....

Never ignore fuel either. Last year one of our BMC cars was running very poorly. I hadn't really driven it for a few months and the fuel could have been a little older still. I checked all through the usual things and couldn't find anything amiss. Eventually I simply drained what was left in the tank and refilled with fresh fuel. Perfect ever since :) .
Just an idea....

Mine was doing exactly the same thing a couple of summers ago. Shaggy dog story and a laugh coming up - again! To clear the intake end of the fuel system out I took the tops off the fuel bowls, drained off what I could, lifted the damper pistons and vacuumed out the intake system with Mr Henry*, assuming that there wouldn't be a lot of fuel left in the top end. Mr Henry was struggling and popping away and when I looked to see what he was grumbling about, he was trailing behind me - on fire! Easy fix this time, pulled him outside, lesson learned the hard way, wifey got new Mr Henry and carb/fuel system eventually solved.

Lesson learned. When working with fuel ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher handy

* Mr Henry = a semi industrial powerful vacuum cleaner available in the UK

I would be checking whether the fuel tank is venting properly...
