Is it correct that it's not possible to use the Arden 8 port head in a 1275 GT Appendix K race car? It's only the Weslake type that is approved?

Never come across any reference to any alternative heads being allowed other than a 12g940

I mean for period G cars (1966 to 1971). I know that the Cooper S is homologated with both 8 port heads, but I only find the Weslake type homologated for the 1275 GT.

I didn't think heads on Gp 5 racers post '66 over here required homologation as they were free?

The homologation papers in the main site for 1275 GT has C-AEG612 listed as a variation for Gp 2 from 1971. Is that the Arden or Westlake type?

That makes sense. I was thinking of Group 1 regs initially.

For some strange reason, the GT is only homologated with the Weslake.

Yes, it’s strange. And it’s a pity.
