AKM2 Says yes.
As fitted to 850 / 998, Mini 997 998 Cooper, A and B type remote or Magic wand.

Looks a 22g232 laygear (well eaten 1st)

Indeed, it does look like a 22G232 laygear, which means that it is not a 997 box but a 998 Cooper box. Looking at the colour of the casing, it could have been a gold seal box.

If anyone's interested, I'd sell it for chips. Postage might be hairy though.
