hi all, i have the single round speedo on my 62 with the two dash lights shining from under the speedo housing. can anybody tell where the electrical feed for these lights should come from?

There should be a Red / White wire coming from the switch that operates the dash lights.
That switch in turn is fed by a red wire coming from the 1 terminal on the back of the headlight switch.
Unless my tatty, threadbare Autobook is saying porkies

The feed probably does come from the headlight switch BUT the actual connection is in the loom in the big nexus of wires behind the speedo.
