With Peter Baldwin's rolling road closing it's doors for the last time and the number of similar places dwindling I think it'd be a good idea if we compile a list of rolling road guys who know how to set up a Mini! Feel free to add!

Rob at Mini Sport, Lancs https://www.minisport.com/rolling-road-tuning

Peter Morgan at Wrexham, used to race a Mini very successfully in HSCC so knows the ropes. : http://www.balmuirgarage.co.uk/rollingroad.htm

Rick Wood in Stockport, Cheshire. Not used him yet though a racer pal of mine has for years : http://www.ricwood.com/rollingroad.html

Southam MMC ,Warwickshire. They know their onions. Nuff said! http://www.rollingroadregister.com/dyno ... tro-centre

He is one of the few rolling roads in Scotland that gets consistently good reviews.

A lot of the escort boys use and rate Motoscope

Great idea for a thread, we were only talking about this yesterday.

Quote below from 'Cooperman' on TMF:-
"It appears that Peter Baldwin is now working with the following company. That is indeed good news. My son has used LynxAE to set up his escort RS2000 and they are a first class outfit and highly recommended. Jon Lee is the boss there."

LynxAE, Unit 1, Hill View, Raunds Road, Chelveston, Wellingborough NN9 6AA. Tel : 07831 556973

I've used John Nutt in Goytre, just outside Pontypool.
He can shave an SU Needle as well.

My first post in this Forum. Feel qualified as I've just bought a '66 Super Deluxe with hydro.

Used Andy at Classicandrace in Smallfield,a few weeks ago to set up my Cooper. Very easy going guy, very helpful & happy to let you watch. He did laugh at a few school boy errors on my part but found 76 HP at the flywheel so I was very happy as I put the engine together. Also, not expensive, so highly recommended.

Sadly Andy at Classic & Race is packing up in about 2 months, such a shame as he is so good at what he does.

Not from me unfortunately. I took my 997, explained the departures from standard (12G295 head and raised CR) and he set it up as standard. I took it up the lane and it drove like a pig. I had to take it back and get him to reverse what he had done. Not impressed.
