Saltburn Hillclimb - Sept 10th

Post by mk1 »

As Adam & I were bounced from Shelsley I have been hunting round for other events to do.

We have just entered Saltburn Hillclimb.

Sadly it is untimed, but as well as a great selection of pre & post war cars they do sand racing for Edwardians.

We will be taking the Sprint & The Hornet.

I think you and Mark will really like the S, one owner for 27 years, period accessories everywhere..proper patina etc etc, and not a trailer queen :!:

GOOD EFFORT!

its a good cheap event as no need for any comp licences or anything as its 'just a bit of fun'

I wonder if the organisers are going to be surprised at the amount of interest from the mk1 site!

Good to see some of the MK1 crew today, had a good time despite the bogging down off the start getting worse through the runs i did, made a young lads day by giving him a passenger ride up the hill, he was beaming 8-)

Car made it home ok with no issues apart from tired ears by the time we got back.

my pics for the facebook crew.

It was good to see you Rich, Sorry we didn't have much time to talk. The day went so fast!

We really enjoyed this too & both the Sprint & the 1300 went well. Our only issues were water in both dizzys on the way home & no WD40 in either car. We did manage to limp them both back though.

There were a great selection of cars & bikes there & a fantastic turnout of spectators too.

I didn't take any pics, but will post some of Adams & Den's when I get them.
