Hi, I'm Emilio from Uruguay, not new in the world of minis (about 10 years ago I bought my other mini, a 1982 HL). Now I have the opportunity to buy a different thing, an 1960 mini. But I need some information, the car have in the bonnet slam panel a welded tag number with 30665 I think it's a body number or something. In the mini 59 register page says this tag style is for austin. The car have not recessed windscreen panels. I have no other things apart for the correct fuel tank fitted and rear subframe, not engine at all, it's just the bodyshel. I need to collect all the other parts from other cars but I need to know how exact car is to keep it original. Can you help me with the decode of the number?

Kind Regards
Emilio

Thank may help you, for example, there are the complete parts lists that give details of many VIN number combinations. You can find that here;
