Someone needs to start remaking these. I've seen a magnolia 120mph one.
I'm not about to start buying an old, tired speedo for hundreds of pounds.
£500 for a speedo is insane.

It's the 970, 1071 type 120mph end point, not the more common 120 scaled to 130 type.

If it's worth that, what is a similar one with a trip worth ??? Time to empty the display case perhaps.

Amazingly not the most expensive set I have seen sold.
I have 2 1/2 sets in my loft, I'm hoping to sell them when I retire & buy a my own tropical island.

That needle is just an early Morris one, nothing fancy at all.
Didn't the ones used in the works cars have a white tip, not a red one?

Well I asked the vendor a question
and recieved this reply
"Thank you for your email. Yes you are correct, the white tip needles were used on 'SOME' of the 'WORKS' cooper's. You obviously know details of these cars but I guess GRX 309D driven by the late Graham Hill has slipped by you. If you have seen this car in person, as I have, or view any images on either the web or issue March 2005 of MiniWorld magazine you will clearly see the red tipped needle. There is a chance I suppose the car is not 100% acurate, I'll pass on your comments to Tony Arnold, 12th June at Beaulieu."
