70s Air Filter Extension

Anyone come across one of these before? It is quire a well made thing but no obvious maker marks.
The part that mounts to the carb can be rotated to get the snorkel to lie where you want. The snorkel itself has seen better days though.
Think it would look good on Rich's TC

Probably good on a road car as it gives better torque and power below 4,000rpm (and less induction noise), but looses out once over 4,500 to a K&N with stub stack. See page 60 in the 1989 edition of Vizzard.

Probably quite good for going through deep water, if you can turn the pipe enough!

I ran one of those on my first 998 back in about 1982 / 3
It made absolutely no discernible difference.
