If you are working in MS Windoze, you can open a picture in paint, hit the resize button as another option.

And if you have multiple images that you need to resize you can use the batch editor

I have not used the site so I have no idea how quick it is.

If anyone has any questions about resizing on various the Windows versions I maybe be able to point you in the right direction with software that is probably on your machine.


PS If resizing in "paint" always make sure that you save your pictures as Jpegs (.jpg). If you save as another format the file may end up larger than when you started (ie .bmp).

I seldom own or have local copies of the pictures I post. I usually try to use a URL link to something already on the web. Google searches for images easily identify the picture's size in pixels. Is there a function to tell someone how many kb an online picture is?

The file size of online pictures is not a problem when linking the url using the Img button. The only a problem is when the picture is larger than the viewing page size and you need to scroll to view all parts of the picture.

The size limit on the forum is for pictures that are added to the post/thread as an attachment.

The mobile version of photobucket works far better than the web version so I've started to use that to generate links so no need to resize.
