12G295 Head
Just wondering if a 12G295 cylinder head should have double valve springs as standard when fitted to a 998 Cooper?

Re: 12G295 Head
Ok - that's cool thanks. I'm rebuilding the 998 Cooper unit I have and the head seems to have been rebuilt sometime in it's life but only has single springs.

No. Definitely not. In period, aftermarket double valve springs were a popular line.

Sorry Lmm but you are wrong there. 998 coopers (12g295 head) definitely
did have double valve springs as standard.

According to the parts list 998 Coopers were indeed fitted with twin valve springs.
