As a new member to the forum I just wanted to say hi and share my recent purchase.

I have a mk1 s on way to the uk. It's a 1967 RHD uk car that was exported to the US in 1981. The American owner had it for over 35 years and stored it throughout in his southern Californian garage, only using it very occasionally. It's had a few additions over the year....like the sunroof, grill, respray but all has been done with no money spared.

It's arrives in a couple of weeks and it will then take about month to be mot'd etc. Hope to be on the road in June and down to Beaulieu.

Kevin

Struggling with getting them to load, I guess the files are too big.

Any tips for someone not that good with IT are very welcome.

Sounds great! So many RHD Coopers have come back here from the U.S in the last few years, I've brought three back!

Never mind the MOT, sling it on a trailer and bring it to Blyton! :D

Download the "SimpleResize" app for iPhone/iPad from iTunes. Super easy and reduces the size of the photos to the required specs of this site (and others). It's free!

Looks like it's Surf Blue now. So what was the original colour?

It was Island Blue, with white roof. The heritage certificate also shows the twin tanks , 4&1/2 inch wheels and recliner seat (re leathered), which it still has.

I'll send some other pics as I know we all like pics...

It will need a liitle detailing to get it back to factory spec, but I will enjoy it as is, for now.
