Hello there,
I'm rebering an old pics of a mk1 mini rear lamp than I saw a day but I don't arrive to found it. It was a round rear lamp show as a rare option.
Does any one have pics and why not ref number?
Thanks in advance

Is the lamp you are thinking of a red & orange indicator unit?
I seem to remember some Radford type cars having odd round shaped indicators, but these were never a factory option. The only indicators you could get from the factory were the normal ones.

These ? McCartney's Radford. I sent some new lenses for this car a few years ago.

I think you'll find those are Aston Martin DB5 light units. Check the red car in the picture. The reversing lights have been changed for a second red lens.
You could make a similar arrangement using Lucas L539 lamp units, the first lamp style on the following link

I don't arrived to found where I saw this pics, I don't remember if it was in a magazine or in book in franch or in english but try to found.
It was a little round lamp fitted on an alloy bracket fitted at the rigth end side under the bumper. It doesn't look like an indicator in white but more as the Aston Martin round lamp.
The article say that is was a really rare and early option and as the alloy braket its not enougth strong "all" the rear lamp were removed.
I searched again where I saw and let you know.

Great......
this is excatly the pics than I'm looking for.
The lamp seem to be different from an indicator and different from the Aston lamp.
Does anyone have a idea of the brand and ref of the lamp ???
Thank you in advance.

This is a lamp that was only fitted to export cars as an option, none were fitted to UK sold cars. It is highly likely that it will be a Lucas unit.

The lamp is made by Desmo and was offered as an accessory in some of the BMC accessory brochures. They often turn up on ebay, new ones are rare and usually expensive, one here
