Value of early doors

Can someone tell me roughly how much a set of early doors with glass are worth? I think they are 59 doors as they have the drain holes either end of the doors, but they also have 2 hole glass, so could be later than 59?

They both need lower frame repair panels and reskinning.

The reason im asking is because I had an agreement with a scrap yard to supply me with a front half of a shell including, everything forward of the cut (including doors, subby, brakes etc..) When I went to collect the shell was stripped bare, and they are telling me that those parts weren't included in the sale (we had a verbal agreement).

They are now trying to tell me that the doors are worth lots more than I think they are worth, but I think they are just justify them ripping me off!

Any advise would be greatly appreiciated!

Matt

If the doors need bottoms & re skinning they are not worth much at all. It would be easier (& cheaper) to convert a good later MK1 door to the early spec than mess around with these. If He's wanting more than about £20 a piece for them I'd walk away if I was you.

If the guy is already trying to lift your leg you are probably better walking than giving him the satisfaction of succeeding.

Cheers, that confrims what I thought. He's claiming that there is a pair of doors on ebay for £95 in the same condition so thats what they are worth. ;)

I only bought it for the front parcel shelf panel and thought I could sell the other parts on, to recoop some costs.

They've agreed to take it back now, and considering what I paid for it...thats what I'll be doing.

Thanks for the quick reply.
