Looks a great venue but like Oulton it doesn't look like there's any historics racing. :?

I think maybe it's cos the Masters/HSCC series etc are so attached to their own calenders they can't get anyone to organise a historic grid independently as a one off race? Oulton managed it the first year they did the Mini Fest but not the 2nd hence why non of us bothered going. The historic race at the first Oulton Mini Fest was chiefly down to Swifty but even he couldn't muster enough entries to make it viable for the 2nd?? Sounds incredible when you consider there's never been so many historic racing Minis in existance??

Safe to say no historics at a Mini Fest is a big turn off for most of us!

It's not an easy track to get to either. I used to go to Norwich regularly and it was always a pain from both the North and the South.

My guess is that Swifty got fed up with the thankless task of accumulating grid(s), so in his absence someone will have to do it. Frankly, how he managed to race a car, manage three races and run 4 other customers cars is beyond me.

All that said it does seem frankly ridiculous that a grid can't be put together of historics. Is this due to the expectations of the current crop of historic racers to attend only historic events? Either way there's so many new drivers getting into it (even just this forthcoming season) that it's seems pretty ironic not to see a historic Mini race at Snett.
