I'm looking into attending this event this year and there are options to put on a stand. Anyone thinking of going?? 50 years of the cooper and all that.

I was thinking of running the car on the stages too. It's not that cheap but is well organised and it gives me chance to give family/mates runs out in the car.

The door squares would have to be on it for this one!! (long standing gripe!!, see other post's!!)

http://www.therallyshow.org/tickets.php

There's camping too.

The first one was at Chatsworth, and you got a refund when you signed on as a competitor (no chance of that now). The service area's were open and all the faces were there. I even had Paddy hopkirk looking at my "effort" of a mini. Mr Barker beat my best time by .5 sec, he was on the stage all weekend though and I only had my runs to get used to it (Peter, I tell myself that to help me sleep!!).

We could ask the "other site" to bring up the numbers??

Trouble with this event Dave is that they charge car clubs/groups for a plot and then charge for 'exhibiting' also, in other words 'pay to display' which is absolutely no incouragement not to leave your classic car in the garage. Oulton Park and Cholmondeley both give comp passes to clubs and still seem to make it pay and also do not charge for cars using the rally stages (Oulton) or the sprint circuit (Chumly). Piss poor if you ask me.

Not say I wouldn't go though.

That is bad, I didn't realise that. I can understand why clubs arn't so enthusiastic with that approach. It's not cheap to compete either, think it works out £20 a mile!!

Umm, may leave my offer of ride's out until the Gold Cup (not on holiday on those dates this year!!). Might have to see who to talk to on that o get a run like the other year...I gather I can put you down for a slot in the passenger seat....I'll try and not kill you this year!

I've just looked at the show website club application form and believe that the Mk1 Forum could attend as a club at £25 per person for a 2 day ticket. If however we went to the show as the Mini Cooper Register which is a MSA recognised club the Exhibitor prices apply. Perhaps the MK1 forum could apply for space?

Could be a idea. It's £7.50 for a tent.
