Oil cooler bracket question
Did the post Jan '66 Cooper S with front panel mounted oil cooler have any brackets that attached the cooler to the panel or strenghtening brackets under the cooler? I've seen oil cooler brackets for sale on the Somerford site and am unsure where they fit. From photos I've seen, it always seems the cooler is just attached with two bolts through the front panel flattened lip.

Re: Oil cooler bracket question
There should be stiffening brackets that go from the front of the subframe to the front panel under where the oil cooler mounts. These are almost always removed as it makes it awkward to remove the front frame.
