A declared 1965 car with a prior year registration seems a rare example of honesty in the sorry saga of ex-works Minis.

I already expect to be at the Boningale TC Saturday evening and Worton TC or Rednal test Sunday morning, to make rude comments to my former hill climb class opponent Jon Miles, along the lines of him forsaking his Escort for some old German rear engined banger. (Assuming he can survive a rally that far with all his experience of 45 second competition!)

Worth another "health warning" that the main organiser of this event (who had my other old Escort in more modern historic stage rallying) incurred warranted criticism when the rally last visited this area for misleading spectator information. Beware of rally cars being parked behind closed gates out of view at what were declared spectator points.
I passed the "Summer House", Boningale on Wednesday and noticed no obvious spectator parking (no time to stop and check). The rally will be there in the dark in the Wolverhampton and Telford rush hours.
