Roll Cages

Can someone just remind me (as I'm not near a blue book) if you can run a cage without a diagonal in MSA hillclimbs and sprints. I didn't think you could?

Is it also possible to weld a diagonal in yourself and it still meet homologation? I do know that a bolt-in diagonal wouldn't

Has anyone heard if / when belt bars will become mandatory?

This is all relevant to speed hillclimb and sprint events but would be very interested to know the differences to race regs!

Road going class / historic class? you dont need a roll cage at all

Saying that some events i definitely would not want to do with out a cage lol Knock Hill rings a bell

Thanks George. The car I've got has a six point cage in already but I thought if a cage was fitted it had to have a diagonal. Will check blue book tonight!

My old 3 point has never been mentioned running in the road going class (hill climbs and sprints)

Thanks, just checked and you don't need one for anything but circuits. B*llo*x to it I'll weld one in anyway in case I do my ARDS next year.
