Slowboy that is a cracking little car! Welcome back by the way! Will you be using it in competition? Keep the photos coming.

Nice! I don't think mine ever did competition but I want to use it for a bit of light stuff when it's done. It's only done a piddling 105,000 compared to yours!

no competition, but your running the brake lines inside the car? is that just to protect them?

Lovely job you are making of it.

back in the day when the lines needed re-newing the old man sent em through the car so done it again, it will be as far away from correct as you can get, but thats the way to have em :D :D , the week after he bought it he had 3.5 s rims on it, later replacing them with 4.5, then it got s brakes and lamps and the badge bar etc etc, speedwell rear anti-roll bar is a nice thing aswell, restalls went in around "66 so they going back, all the trim is its original ,which is good, there is a lot of quirky stuff that he had on it so it might aswell be what it was, the shorrock is something he always wanted, better late than never 8-) , and continues its story

Sound like the most sensible way to restore a car - make it how the owner wanted it, not the factory!

the master cylinder allows a short speedwell rampipe to fit the carb on the blower, std cyl and the carb has no room for anything,

As said before, nice to see a car being built to te owners spec, and not "factory spec".

There seems to be a swing towards mk1's being to owners spec not factory spec. I love this car, its great. I've just bought a 62' 997 Cooper in Tartan red with a few funky mods. Quite keen to retain them.

Nice work.
