Pick up restoration.

Hi all,

Has anyone on here done any serious restoration on a pick up?

I'm looking to replace the rear cab bulkhead panel whilst the side panels are being replaced.

Question is, can the bulkhead panel be fitted with the sides out or is further panel removal necessary? I think it is possible, albeit difficult, but would like to know of anyone elses experience before I part with £200 odd for the panel !!

Many thanks

Plenty of views but no replies so either no-one has replaced this panel or does not know what I am on about.

Here's a picture of the panel in question.

Don't take it that way, Andrew1967, we might be scrambling for a reply, and getting nowhere from our friends.

It could be virgin ground for some of us, said Mini pickup panel.

But I am impressed, no doubt about it. Just shove a couple of lambs in the back to make it look good when you have finished it, which I am sure you can. And I am not joking there.

Austin, sorry nothing meant with my post, just thought I ought to perhaps put a picture up of the panel in case people were unsure of my request :)

Guru, will start up a thread in the appropriate section. Be warned though, it's a nightmare project

I was only pulling your leg, everyone is here to help you, don't worry.

Maybe not many have tackled a back panel of a pickup before, so maybe new to everyone.

Very impressive work on the pickup, unfortunately I have never worked on one so I can't help with the query.
