The grill has a GT badge on it but the grill is not from a GT. The centre bars on the early GTs were black.
The body does not look like a GT either, there are no holes in the RH inner wing for the brake servo.
It is an early one but not 1969, the bonnet has the stay on the LHS and the hinges are the most common vertical stud and nut not the rare horizontal bolt.
As it has the id plates on a quick check would tell you. Vin would begin XAD2 and the Commision would begin S20D.

Hi roger, best of luck with your project, wish I had your enthusiasm for cars,I worked on them all my working life ,I would rather have my bikes,my grandson and me have fourteen bikes all needing work,we are preparing a GSX R 600 for track days at the moment,he has a 899 ducati panagali on the road, anyway that's enough about me,just hope we can keep going long enough to finish our projects, all the best Colin a.
hi colin a
i used to have a gt750 ducati that i sold in a stupid moment but now have yr5 1970 yamaha 350 a 1984 rz yamahe that has a 4 cyl 750 engine that i put together and a rd 1974 with a 550 4 cyl air cooled engine that i built when i was waiting for the crank for the rz to be put together but the guy said he could not figure it out and sent it backless the money for parts lesson learned
then because the long time it takes to get parts for the mini i bought t t100c crankshaft with rods with the idea of putting it in a spare rd frame do we ever learn the only place for triumph bits is america postage is horrible and our dollar is weak worse against the pound
well cheers roger mcnab
ps also miss my old 1972 full worked v8 ute it was like a rocket ship
