The bottom channel and on my drivers side moved out when the rear most window is opened, i looks like a screw or two is missing, are these inserted from underneath? What size are they - BA?

They go in from the top, where possible I put mine in on the side of the track the glass isn't in, so it doesn't scrape the bottom of the glass.

Be careful..(in the cars I've seen) the piece of metal that the screws go into is not continuous... Rather they take the form of little bridges across the channel. You need to know where these are in order to know where to insert the screws.....

When you install the new window runners you would normally mark the location of these 'bridges' on the outside of the channel so you know where to insert the screws...

As above... you have to know where to put the screws to hit those cross-pieces. The screws come down from above, not below. I forget the size but I remember something along the lines of #6 flat head sheet metal screws being used.

When I last did this (over a decade ago) I vaguely remember soldering bits of copper wire into the old holes in the door so I could put new screws in place without worrying about them pulling out when I refit the windows.

Also use black counter sunk screws then you cant see them.

You need to look at the chrome channel as well it is pre-drilled for the attachment screws, this will give you the correct location for the screws, always assuming their not stripped out..........................

Yep. That's why I put the copper wire and solder in the old door holes on my car's doors.
