Which cam?

Starting to build the engine for DPU this week in time for the trip down to Beaulieu. Bottom end is a 1098 sat on an 1128 box and the head is a Downton converted 12A185. Which cam profile would give the best performance? Im looking for a nice touring engine rather than a track beast.
Cheers
Tim

Kent 266 Tim, worked really well in the Orangebox when I was running small bore units.

There are very few people with more experience of the small bore 1100 units than Smoke, if he suggests using a cam, that would be the one I would use.

Information and advice received from Smoke yesterday and very much appreciated. Kent 266 it most certainly will be!

I will support the use of the next rung up......Kent 276. Has worked extremely well for me with 1000cc, 295 head, circa 9:1 compression and 3.44 FD.

would the MSC Evo HT cam not work on a small bore motor ?
I have one in my 1380, and even at the power sapping altitude of Johannesburg (1600 metres) it still pulls like a train, lovely torque. (264/268 degree cam)
