My guess would be Val Harper, as the lady on Flog It mentioned she was a driver. Both get a mention driving/co driving in a Sebring on the 1961 Bournemouth National, about halfway down column 4

Can't help thinking that the "expert" valuer didn't have any more idea of those watches' worth than my cat. By my reckoning he should 've been expecting the sack!

To be fair they have probably never seen one of those before and most TV valuers can tell you the price of bit of old silver or an old plates, but when it comes to specialist rally equipment they are a bit out of their depth.

They should do a Mini version of 'Flog-it', they already do, it's called Blyton!

Yes, but they have probably all got iphones or equivalent and a quick search on google would have of told them more. They are supposed to be EXPERTS

A TV show is a TV show is a SHOW......assume nothing is genuine or true, e.g. they say the Steel industry must close at PT because salaries (let alone total production costs) far outweigh sales. How do we know this? Because we are told.

Or maybe it is to make the programme more exciting?

But NOT TOO EXCITING or they would loose 1/2 their audience in moments.
