I have a Coventry radiator that I think was fitted to a 61 Seven I had many moons ago. Any idea of its value if I got it refurbished?

Is it dated '61? I might be interested in a swap for another Coventry that I have that's 63 (I think) dated..

I'll take a look - never checked it. Will pull it out over the weekend and give it a clean to see if there are any identification marks on it.

Any clues as to where the date is stamped? I have an old radiator but didn't know they were dated. I don't think it mattered back when I first got into Minis

On mine, there's a sort of 'coin' brazed onto the side of the header tank - from memory it says something like 659, which apparently translates as September 65. I'll find a pic later and share it here.

It there's no space between the 6 and 59 I would question if its a date code. Date codes normally have the month (prior to 71) or week 71 and later) first then the year. If there is a space it might be a date code but its July 1959

I'd rather not know as I knocked something off a shelf the other week and dinged the top of my perfect shiny Coventry rad.

Date should be stamped on side (hidden when fitted).
First four numbers is BMC part number, last four numbers; week number/year.
