Lucas 14W Wiper Motor

Can anybody possibly help me with what finish should there be on a 2 speed Lucas 14W type wiper motor body dated 1971

Would it be a natural metal finish or crackle black or satin or gloss black.

I would think zinc plated on a 14W.
