Does an Astrali Mk1 tulp boss fit on the 33EJB Les Leston wooden steeringwheel ?

That's odd. The distance between the two holes at 3 and 9 o clock on my wheel was exactly the same as on my boss (Astrali). I measured it before buying my wheel because I wouldn't fork out another fortune on all the LL boss bits. I think there may have been one of the holes on the boss that needed a tiny bit of adjustment with a needle file.

Re drilling the boss would be easy.

As the holes are close to the inner edge, it would probably make most sense to drill & tap suitable holes in the boss, rather than use nuts.

Yes maybe I will do this, thanks for the tip !
But I think it will not work like this because
you have to turn the boss a bit.
If you do that the hole for the screw will be
on the wrong place and you can fit the Mk1
horn push not in the right way anr more .

Well it fit lits a glove, no drilling just restore the wheel and fitting it on the Astrali A1 boss .

Looks OK to me

The way to get round the problem you identify above is to drill & tap the holes as necessary then fit the horn push, mark where the slot in the side of the badge needs to be & file a new one out. This is however totally redundant as your boss obviously fits perfectly.

Thats my favourite wheel too, I have one but it needs some holes welding up , I might give it the machined swerled look to hide the welds

My Dad used a pillar drill and a piece of dowel dipped in fine valve grinding paste...

The one I have was in a sorry state with cracks through 2 of the original mounting holes and 6 extra holes , probably to fit it to a tulip boss , it's the small hole version ,not sure what boss it requires for the mini?
I welded the extra holes ,it welded fine so After Id welded the two cracked original hole's I thought I may as weld the lot and start again.
I've done the machine swirls before with a bench drill and scotch pad Rolox discs
The trick is not to be random but mark out where they are to be done
But after sanding and polishing There's nothing to hide so may just leave it polished
