Tie rod length

Post by Dr S »

I've got adjustable tie rods, and bottom arms on red shed. I'm aiming for a ride height about 1"-2" down from stock, with 1.5 degrees of neg. that much I can set with a protractor and some string, does anyone have a good starting length for the tie bars?
I've got a 69 Mini with a 1046, Cooper Head and a four on the floor.

From adjustable tie rod instructions:
"The standard tie rod length is 14.25" measured from the inner edge of the bottom arm retaining bolt hole to the outer face of the welded-on washer."

Cheers Graeme, I can work the new lenght out with a bit of trig from that. That'll get it close enough to drive down to be set up
