Hi All,
I thought I would show off some pictures of my new toy / project.....
The Beast is a 1 owner since new, 10 - 11/1967 Morris Cooper S purchased new from Tanunda Motors in Feb 1968, here in South Australia, and it was delivered from the dealer with the Venetian blind, ST rear swaybar and Dunlop Alloys. I can remember the car from way back as a little fella, and my dad has known of the car for 36yrs, as it lived down the street from us, and about 12 years ago my old man and I tried to buy it with no luck..... Then it disappeared.

Then about a week or so ago my old man came home to find a letter in the letter box and all most had a heart attack, and couldn't call me soon enough...

The car seems to be 95% complete, apart from the boot board, badges and some other bits missing.

Now it’s mine and it’s time for a full restoration to bring it back to its former glory, as it was delivered from the dealer.

Nice one!

I have a question for you since I'm also looking at a 66/67 Cooper S here in South Africa. The diagonal support bracket that runs across the opening behind where the grille is supposed to go, next to the oil cooler...is that welded or rivited in place?

Thanks!

"....can you clarify what doors are on it the door bins seam to be very shallow.

Standard Oz doors - windups with door pockets...

See photo of data plate for original colours - "spec"ial "burg"undy (roof) with snow white body..... ie original factory paint :)
