hi i am baptiste i write to you from france
i just bought a morris mkII, i found it not far away of my town, but she comes from Portugal.







she have strange doors, it's like mk1/2 doors but more larger , and it have the same window as the mk3



that's all for now.
if you have some informations of this kind of doors i am interested

it looks like a neat conversion though, most people don't bother to round the front corner of the door off

I'm not sure, look at the height of the door, it looks original. isn't it?

its got mk3 b pillars in it, but mk1/2 a pillars, so I guess whoever has done the conversion has done some cutting on the shell, it also looks to have had had some work done on the bit that goes between the door and the roof - its a bit wonky and you can see the grinder marks in it.

I guess you need to start digging at the paint and see whats under it.............

or just leave it as it is and enjoy it!

I have the "papers" (?) of a morris 1000 69, and she is in pretty good shape.

I do not regret my purchase =)
i try to fix mkI mkII doors and, there's not lot of work to change it .

It will probably be a locally built special. Australian Mini Clubmans for example had the early exterior hinge type doors for a while and also had the lift up type handles.

Does the car have Hydrolastic suspension?

yes it have Hydrolastic, remote for the gear box,

this is a nice little car !

It sounds a very nice and extremely rare variant of the Mk2 saloon.

I'd leave those doors as they are if it were mine

Is there a letter on the end of the chassis number? That might give a clue as to the build location.

Portugal seems to have done some strange things such as the wind down windows in the rear of Mini estates.

I've got news, I was very lucky I found the old mechanic.
and he said that he do modification in the 70's for his client,
because he wanted modern doors as the mk3
this is not an original model.

I thought it was strange to have no doc and no Ads,

I found it, she is in poor condition but is complete

























only the front of this car is nice but there's also good things, all accessories are in rather good condition (lights, grille, steering wheel..)








she is very rusty
nevertheless I can take what i want on it to start restoration

Such a shame that the roof guttering is so rusty. The rest of the Mini looks quite reasonable.

That's an interesting front grille. I've got something similar with the same fixing tabs.

nop she is very rusty i'll take anothers pictures , she was repaired with newspaper and some mastic
