How do Gents

What kind of manifolds are you racer types running? I currently have a Stage 2 Hi Flow maniflow manifold but have got hold of a second hand 2" system. I've measured up the old manifold and its smaller than the 2" system so I am wondering whether to ditch the system I have got hold of or get a 2" manifold?

Any advice?

2" is only suitable for 1430 / 120 bhp and above

used on anything smaller it will just be a waste.

Rich - simply a waste, or would it actually be detrimental?

I'm running a 2" system with just over 100 horses, would I see a gain from down sizing?

I spoke to maniflow earlier, they suggest a stage III manifold at £300. I also spoke to someone who had a 1380 by swiftune and after fitting a stage III from maniflow saw a rise in bhp and torque and it pulled from 400rpm lower down.

My engine is 1380, weber and SW10 cam. It was producing 105bhp with a 1.5" SU

if you have a good compresion ratio the larger manifold would be benificial.

the only way as with anything is to try :)

my cars at the stage im thinking of trying one with a 2" system
