We are pleased to announce the eighth running of this event taking place this year on Saturday 17th of October. On offer are around 120 miles of the finest roads on OS maps 87 & 88, together with around half a dozen timed Special Tests on private land. For novices, there will be the Tynedale Rally, which will run to a similar format but have a reduced mileage, simpler navigation and not require competition licences.

Yeh, be nice if entries came in at the rate that Glastonbury tickets sold though! Surprised also that no one has taken up those offers of a navigator for the event, as the lack of a nav. often prevents people from entering rallies apparently. Hopefully someone will give them a drive though pretty please!

I'd recommend this event to anyone , especially those that haven't given rallying a go before. if I ever have a Mini in working order I'll be back meself!

Thanks to Niall and his team for organising another successful event. The amount of effort that goes into making an event of this type run anywhere near smoothly is something to behold.

On a personal level not a great evening but we have a plan - a bit more power and a lot more reliability are top of the build spec.... Watch this space (but don't hold your breath )

Huge thank you from car 5 to Niall, Dave and team for putting on another cracking event. I know how much prep goes in to pulling the day together and we all appreciate it.

A fantastic day and a fantastic event ran with the usual faultless organisation.

The tests this year were the best yet, despite a few questionable penalties Honestly officer it looked perfect from where I was sitting

Didn't really manage to get the camera out this year but managed to catch a few snaps at the start and after the initial transit section. Looking forward to see what marvels Surf comes up with.

Another great Northumberland Borders Rally, thanks to all the competitors and marshals for making it a great event.

Yes,the MCR team pulled yet another cracking rally out of the bag. Great tests, challenging nav and a fantastic night route. The behind the scenes work must be immense to produce a well delivered polished rally - outs most other motor club's organisational efforts to shame. Thanks to all that give up their time so we can take part in our sport.

Just one plea (and not to the organisers) - lets get the entry numbers up!!!! Events like this need entries to run - let's not have this one fall by the wayside because not enough people are willing to have a cracking day's sport. Whether beginner, novice, expert (or even enthusiastic marshal) - come and have a go next year. You will have fun - I promise!!
