Hello I have a Mk1 Aus date Jan 62
The rib on the door side is straight. Does anyone know when this changed to enter the foot well at an angle?

November '61 car with remains of the original floor pan can be seen on my project thread on page one. Angled rib.

I'm quite sure at late 61 / early 62 they were being made from CKD panels, so should be the same as UK panels - however - if they were panels that had been sitting on for some time, there were something like 5 or 6 design changes (don't quote me exactly on those numbers, but it was a lot!) in the front floor pressings (among others) since the start of production up to this period, so the answer may not be a straight forward as it may first appear.

Thanks GS & Spider.
So Nov '61 was angled rib already.
My stamped parts are all 961 so I guess the panels were made at a similar time
I have anither post asking about UK body no production period. If I get any hits on this that should give an idea about when the panels were made.

I have seen - maybe on this forum? - a front floor pan that had one type on one side and the next later one on the other, and that was how it left the factory. I would have though the whole floor was one piece, however it was pointed out to me by a die maker that although the pressing may have been one piece the dies of that size are usually in a few pieces.
